In March 2020, suppliers of UV disinfection components from China and South Korea announced that, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the demand of UV disinfection raw material continued to grwo substantially.  This inquiry of UV disinfection products is 5 times of previous month, and most factories are with full capacity now. Therefore, new order for traditional low-voltage UV lamps can only be shipped after late May.

When people started to notice the explosive growth of COVID-19, protective products and hand sanitrized or other liquid disinfectants are sold quickly & run out of stock soon. So, more & more people began to seek reusable protective equipment or elecctronic disinfection supplies as alternative solution, such as phone sterilizer.

On March 31st, Dr. Fauci, an epidemiologist from CDC, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, began advising all Americans to wear masks. Before this, doctors in many hospitals have given an Interim method to reuse protective products after disinfection with ultraviolet germicidal lamps to deal with PPE shortages. It is believed that in the coming period when the production of masks can not fully meet the global need, the demand for ultraviolet disinfection equipment will still increase significantly.
